The suite was named after the emblem animal of the noble Daniel family, the swan with an arrow through its neck.
It is believed that the swan emblem was received by the Daniels as a gift from Gabor Bethlen Prince of Transylvania, who shared his own emblem featuring two swans with the family, as a sign of recognition.
The XVIIth century coat-of-arms situated on the forefront of the room is appreciated to be one of the most prestigious stone carvings in Transylvania
