The Chamber of Ten Thousand Gold is named after a remarkable episode from the history of the Daniel family: Count Daniel Mihály being Transylvania's chief ambassador to the Ottoman Sultan, entrusted with delivering the annual tax, consisting of 10.000 gold coins. The journey represented far more than the transport of wealth. It was a mission of trust and responsibility during a time when the fate of the region depended on delicate political relationships.
Today, the room recalls this fascinating story and invites guests to step into a world where history, legend, and the spirit of Transylvania continue to meet.
